Well at the end of the day the players are not doing their jobs and we have all seen how the gently, gently approach isn’t working out in society, maybe Madge believes in old fashioned ways? I’m not saying that is the right way, just saying that may be why.

The only way forward for the Tigers, and some of the other obviously struggling clubs, maybe a new ‘player swap’ agreement like the Harry Grant/Paul Momo deal. It is evident that struggling clubs are finding it increasingly difficult to lure skilled players away from the power clubs, who seem to be able to horde, and hold onto them. These fringe players appear willing to sit behind the run on squad for a couple of years rather than to play for the likes of the Tigers. Not so long ago Billy Slater was injured and from memory the Storm had Drinkwater, Hughes, Munster and maybe even Papen to fill in. If this system continues then the gap between the top 8 and bottom 8 will widen to a stage where fans may lose interest.

Perhaps the only way we will know this is to give them both a side each that has not made the finals or under performed over the past 5 or so years like Tigers/Dogs/Dragons/Titans/Warriors and we will know in 3 or 4 years time who is the best coach.

JAC is no doubt a great player, however playing in the Storm system/side would be far easier to shine than playing for the Tigers. I don’t think JAC is the answer for the struggling Tigers and for the love of god – paying overs for players on long term deals/contracts should not be heard of again!!!

Tell me this. Is there a club in history who have give away as much talent as the tigers? Andrew Fafita, Blake Austin,Te mari Martin, Chris Heighnington, Sitilitki Akoula, Maritka Koribeti, Josh Ado Carr, Martin Taupau, Robbie Farrah. Probably more but all I could think of atm.

Isn’t it ironic how Kent carries on about certain coaches (Bellamy/Stuart) having dummy spits throughout games when calls go against their team – and it not being a good look for the game, and yet he fails to see how badly he behaves on national TV when a panelist or guest doesn’t agree with his view. He raises his voice to the point the other panelist/s stay quiet or Ikin has to intervene. Not that I agree with Buzz either, just saying!
