Maybe the Aussie bowlers are just better at adapting to conditions? The English team particularly this one of recent times is quite vocal when conditions don’t suit them. This exposes their mindset.

Gripping Ashes proves yet again that England, not Australia, has the hosting formula

Warner can dominate again… on flat pitches with no lateral movement.

David Warner can still dominate Test cricket

Hazlewood bowled well. From a viewing perspective I’d just love to see the other 3 bowl together.

Who should the Test selectors look at for the summer?

I would like to see Warner have to earn his place in the side after a terrible Ashes. I would also like to see one Test on Australian soil where Cummins, Starc, and Pattinson play in the same XI.

You sound like a really interesting person

England have no moral high ground over ball tampering

Sorry about my late reply… I’ve been outside doing something.

England have no moral high ground over ball tampering

Persisting with Warner and Harris, lengthening the tail in a game you only need to draw, and electing to bowl first make it even more ludicrous. It’s like they did everything possible to lose that final game.

England win despite stunning Matt Wade ton

You’d all be bitter too if you lived in a place that only had 2 weeks of summer per year.

Surely the umpires are there to adjudicate correctly? Maybe the Aussies should be like Broad and not even face the umpire when appealing but intstead charge down the pitch and start high fiving the slip cordon.

Flat Australia blunted by Denly and Stokes

More proof that the umpires can’t make a correct decision

More proof that Tim Paine can't use the DRS to save his life

Ronan I think the main criticism for Marsh has been not justifying his place in the top 6 as a batsmen. His bowling will always be seen as a bonus. If he batted from 8 down the emphasis would be on his bowling and his batting would be the bonus. I don’t understand why Siddle was selected if Marsh was a lock. If anything the Marsh selection should have opened the door to a Pattinson or Starc, in terms of variation and batting depth.

Humble pie all 'round as Mitch Marsh rips through England

Lesson I’ve learned is that Warner is untouchable. Both Khawaja and Head have offered more and been dropped. Broad has worked him out and Australia is battling a man down, but let’s drop Head. They’ve adopted the Adelaide Crows selection policy… drop juniors and keep underperforming seniors.

The Australian cricket selectors are back to their ridiculous ways

What you say sounds right but, the problem is, we’ve seen it all before.

Dropping Head for Marsh was a mistake

The best part is Marsh will be fronting up in the 1st Test of the home summer as an incumbent. 12 months of unwarranted selection ahead. Minimal Shield cricket to improve his game. The cycle continues…

Dropping Head for Marsh was a mistake

Haven’t you read? Jimmy Anderson has complained that the pitches have suited Australia… so gracious.

Egos shelved, sleeves rolled up: Langer, Paine instil blueprint for success abroad

Picking 5 bowlers is a very attacking move as you are generally stacking the bowling at the expense of scoring runs. This makes more sense if you are the team that NEEDS to win. I can understand England doing this but it makes no sense for Australia to do it as they are 2-1 up. I’d contemplate resting Lyon if his finger is giving him grief, playing 4 quicks and Marnus as the spinner. That’s 5 bowling options anyway.

How Siddle and Marsh could both play at the Oval

Problem is, the 12 months of mediocrity from Marsh if he gets selected again. He’s not ready for Test cricket on merit yet. Let’s see him post a big Shield season first.

With the urn retained, how do we approach the fifth Ashes Test?

Warner out Khawaja in.
Cummins and Lyon (if sore) Pattinson and Siddle in. Marnus to spin.

With the urn retained, how do we approach the fifth Ashes Test?

The key I feel is choosing players and tactics according to conditions. Some players cannot play spin, is it worth playing them for the sake of team cohesion? … I don’t think so. We choose specialist ODI or T20 teams, why not Test teams according to conditions?

Ditching Lehmann's pace obsession won Australia the Ashes

England might have to go back to the ICC draft and see who they can pick up.

Australia dominate as England fall apart at Old Trafford

Just remind me… How many times has Archer got Smith out this series?

Well if no one else is doing it..

My apologies Mrs Paine.

T-Paine worth more than just runs to the baggy greens

All well and good but a few runs would be handy too..

You serious? Ever go to Port Willunga on a a clear summers day. Also some of the best protected swimming beaches in the country along the metro coast with bright pink sunsets at 8.30pm during summer.
