Geoff Parkes: One doesn’t have to represent RA to have inside info.

Why everyone got it wrong about Rugby Australia and Israel Folau

Brian… I have read TWAS’ so called contributions for some time now and he is often biased, argumentative, belligerent and obtuse. Don’t fall into the same behavioural pattern..

Andy F: Haven’t you realised yet that you are dealing with a boys’ club/old boy network that sticks together right or wrong.

Raelene Castle's tenure has been a failure – what else did RA expect?

Andy F: My Concise Oxford Dictionary Eighth Edition describes it as ” a hatred or fear of homosexuals”

Raelene Castle's tenure has been a failure – what else did RA expect?

Tahman: Perhaps her contentious record at the Bulldogs has escaped you.

Raelene Castle's tenure has been a failure – what else did RA expect?

Train: I have no recollection of Folau asking anyone but RA for an apology but I am sure you have a record of every utterance he has ever made. I assume that it was something like, “everyone I mention in my Bible references needs to apologise to me forthwith”

Raelene Castle's tenure has been a failure – what else did RA expect?

Geoff P: I am well versed in the workings of law and I assume so is Blondy from his comments.

Why everyone got it wrong about Rugby Australia and Israel Folau

Train: I think Blondy answered your attack on his credibility already but you just keep going ad infinitum and ad nauseum which I have noticed before on the Roar.

Why everyone got it wrong about Rugby Australia and Israel Folau

Train: Not to any unbiased and fair minded person who understands preachers and ministers referring to Bible scriptures are part of their religious duties.. We are only talking about the male/male sexual act anyway as lesbianism is not involved and being gay is not a sin either.

Why everyone got it wrong about Rugby Australia and Israel Folau

Geoff Parkes: The fact that you are an “expert” in name only here doesn’t make you infallible. RA’s lawyers took every aspect seriously as they are duty bound to do, but they recommended RA settle because it was considered extremely doubtful that they would win in the High Court.

Why everyone got it wrong about Rugby Australia and Israel Folau

Train. If you really believe that comment about demonising homosexuals, you really are too are biased and emotional to think logically.

Why everyone got it wrong about Rugby Australia and Israel Folau

Andy F… You are arguing with those who are either too biased to understand or with ego’s that interfere with their reasoning.

Raelene Castle's tenure has been a failure – what else did RA expect?

Train… The comparison simply involves CEO’s taking responsibility for poor performance and bad practices. Why you seem hellbent on mixing in the child exploitation aspect, I have no idea unless it is a diversionary tactic. They are CEO’s and it doesn’t matter what business they are in charge of or what type of poor performance is involved, they carry the ultimate responsibility. That’s why they are employed and that’s why they usually are paid the big dollars.

Rugby AU edging closer to their preferred Wallabies attack coach

Train… Alleged is the word you seem reluctant to use and in Westpac’s case, AUSTRAC is alleging “systemic non-compliance” with the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF) Act. As for Ms Castle, her job is safe according to you because of the long term history of under performance of RA. Most organisations don’t follow that modus operandi thankfully. By the way, Folau is now seeking $14 million so the rumour in legal circles that RA will settle in December may be accurate.

There were supposedly 12 transactions totalling $500,000 alleged to involve child exploitation out of 23 million transactions totalling 11 billion dollars, which is a very small percentage. The CEO has done the right thing and resigned but not simply because of the child exploitation accusations. All I can say is that it must be an expensive business when it costs $500,000 for 12 senders. Castle is only worried about herself and that is why everybody else is wearing the blame.

Rugby AU edging closer to their preferred Wallabies attack coach

Train… Alleged is the word you missed and you still don’t understand that the CEO has to take responsibility for events.

Rugby AU edging closer to their preferred Wallabies attack coach

Malo… Sarcasm surely hahaha The Westpac CEO has resigned. Why hasn’t Castle resigned? Too arrogant perhaps?

Rugby AU edging closer to their preferred Wallabies attack coach

Train.. I give up hahahaha You’re just being deliberately obtuse, simplistic and nit picking. Perhaps you just enjoy an argument and go out of your way to be annoying.

Foxtel withdraws offer for Rugby broadcast rights, Optus move looms

Train… Please and with the utmost respect take your head out of the sand. The clause would have possibly avoided a lot of the cost and drama and perhaps even the payout via legal proceedings if it happens. Irrespective, I tend to believe Folau’s version of events over Ms Castle’s. Unfortunately, the matter will be probably be decided upon a technicality of law and not on the veracity of the parties. My mail is that RA are likely to agree to a deal in December.
As for Cheika, think that everyone would be aware of his idiosyncrasies, but Johnson has a reputation of being divisive and was a poor choice.

Foxtel withdraws offer for Rugby broadcast rights, Optus move looms

Train…. RA has gone downhill on her watch, she failed to put the salient clause in Folau’s new contract and then tried unsuccessfully to get him to sign later and she appointed Johnson to oversee Cheika which obviously caused problems.

Foxtel withdraws offer for Rugby broadcast rights, Optus move looms

Train… You always ask a question in response to comments and sometimes they don’t show my replies so I would just say that if you are not aware of her shortcomings, then you are in denial. Her gender is unimportant to me and she has failed RA by not resigning along with Cheika and Clyne. The CEO normally takes responsibility for failures and it should be no different for Ms Castle.

Foxtel withdraws offer for Rugby broadcast rights, Optus move looms

ScottD… Perhaps because of her debacle at the Bulldogs and her apparent lack of acumen in her RA dealings. Fortunately her gender saves her from a lot of criticism as comments are often not printed due to being considered sexist.

mav… I certainly wasn’t knocking either Burns or Labuschagne’s efforts and I live in Qld. However, when your first three batsmen score over 400 runs between them, one has to temper enthusiasm and not get too carried away. By the way, I am from an era that played baseball as well as cricket at school hence the so called sexist “batsmen”. Only softball and baseball used the term batters then hahaha.

Burns must finally be respected by Test selectors

matth & Matt… As he hadn’t hit a test century before, I am not taking much notice of either openers form, but thanks for the dual attack. I am also aware that a heap of players have made big scores this year on good decks and it’s both Burns and Labuschagne’s home ground.

Burns must finally be respected by Test selectors

I would prefer to wait and see if there is consistency in both their performances on other pitches and ultimately against a better bowling attack. Especially when even Labuschagne has hit his maiden ton in the same game.
