Simon – great response
Love the idea that the Giteau rule keeps local players honest, so to speak. Bring on the competition!
And agree with Machooka! Ultimately, the best thing for Australian rugby is to be winning at the wallabies level – I differ from Spiro in that we absolutely need to play the best starting side for the situation. As you say M, perhaps for the inbound international series against the English next year, stick with local players only but there’s no justification for black and white rules for the whole year or beyond to the RWC19, now that the Giteau rule has proven successful & reasonable.
Bakkies – would be great to have those players back in Australia – Grenoble might be the Aussiest side in Europe?? I used to bump into Peter Kimlin at the local IGA – he’s a massive human.
