don’t get all the hate for the shark. it’s not like they’ve dominated the omp for years, hell they have never won a premeirship. for all those demanding they be kicked out or relocated a question. would you still be calling for it if it was the Broncos? what about the storm? even the roosters or bunnies? the NRL won’t kick them out due to the TV deal, yes i know they can bring in another team or relocate, but why bring in a hastely put together team that isn’t thought through, or move the brand to a market that doesn’t want them?

never did i say it would happen or would i think it has strategic insight . so how about we all pull our heads out and try to have a bit of fun?

maybe it wouldn’t impact, but look at the AFL with buddy moving to sydney, now they have two games a year with GWS, no matter where they finished, it has proped the premiership window open a little bit longer. that helps attract talent. the storm don’t stuggle to attract players because they have a feeder team in Brisbane. add to that they have a great system under belleamy. with regards to finals, it would be much eaiser to play bad teams in a sydney conference(parra , wests, st george) twice a season and get wins than play good teams in the Rest conference. add to that travel for the rest conference. Collingwood get a easy travel draw every year in the AFL ( travelled 4 times this year) and it helps later in the year

while not a dyed-in-the-wool league supporter, i think this world cup has been great so far. while the skill levels haven’t always been the best, All teams have been playing exciting, attacking football. sure eligibility is an issue but i’ve enjoyed the games. sure only three teams look like winning, but who cares? will RL spread across the world like a wildfire? probably not but so what? after all the articles and comments attacking and defending it, nothing has changed. RL fans still like RL, RU fans still like RU. does being “right” mean that much to people?

An open letter to James Hird
The AFL and Hird are fighting over two different things. Hird is saying that no one doped, and that one drug wasn’t WADA banned. The AFL is looking at the governece of the program and supposeded failing of duty of care. Hird might be right, and fight to clear his name but the AFL will get the bombers and the longer this goes on the worse the penatlies will be. The big D will not let Hirdy make him look foolish. Draft picks, Bans, and fines are going to go up the longer they fight.
