RA's manic Monday and how it will shape the future of the Australian game

Channel 9 in Melbourne couldn’t even be arsed mentioning the whole Super Round during their 6pm news on Friday. Last time I checked 9 own Stan. Free advertising missed opportunity. Utter joke.

'Reality check': Brumbies cop hiding from Chiefs in worst display ever under Larkham

Last time I checked Stan was owned by channel 9. And yet 9s 6pm Melbourne news show… not a single mention I can recall about the super weekend in Melbourne. Absolute joke

Super Rugby teams: Marky clear for Crusaders clash, Blues rest two All Blacks after just ONE week, DMac to face Brumbies

Seems like every article about Louis Lynagh mentions him being born in Treviso as his eligibility to rep for Italy. He could have been born in Timbuktu and still be eligible… his mum is Italian, but that’s never mentioned.

Rugby News: 'Dropped a bollock' - Lynagh set for surprise move in international twist, Crusaders cop another blow

If you’re referring to the GB team, I think it was the IOC forcing the issue when 7s was admitted. Had to use a combined team. Then they had to continue in the circuit for Olympic qualification reasons, rather than continue as England/ Wales/ Scotland individually and just chose the highest ranked as the Olympic representative.
I agree, would prefer separate. I remember England being pretty decent, but since combining… meh

'We should be the Aussie sixes': the huge problem sevens team must fix before Olympics as Levi joins sister after ban

F@$k it, I’ll do it.
Previous experience, none. But I used to bat at 10 for Thomson 4ths in Geelong. And I’ve got my passport now so I qualify.
Got a bit of a dodgy back though.

Every Australian Test opener option, ranked: Why sending Smith up is a recipe for disaster

Wait. I’m confused. Are The Melbourne Rebels going to rebel and side with the rebels? Or are they going to rebel against the rebellion?

Usually an Aussie too… but he forgot to show up 😂

Fittler's abrupt resignation leaves Blues in state of disrepair with no coach keen to take on poisoned chalice

“Everyone’s pointing to when we were successful with three Super Rugby sides. But do you really need to go that far to try and give a sense of when we were successful, it’s not about when we were, it’s about addressing the needs of our environment right now and what is best to move forward in a productive manner.”

This. Why only cut 2 teams? You were also successful in 1991, before Super Rugby. So why not go back to just qld and nsw and resurrect the South Pacific Championship? (Being sarcastic 😁 )

'Semi pro sport at best': Ex-Ireland HP manager's scathing critique of Aussie rugby, and dire warning for its future

McLennan and the others who are responsible for that farcical decision should do the honourable thing, and resign forthwith without any payout. As to who they would be replaced by, that’s another matter.
As luck would have it, Dan Andrews has just become available (wink wink)

The strategic planning error that turned Eddie Jones’ smash and grab into a botched servo hold up

Depends on if they do the pool draws 3y in advance again, or a more reasonable 1y. Plenty of time to get the tanning back up again

'Bloody disappointed: Wallabies OUT of World Cup as nation to miss finals for first time, Eddie fights for survival

I agree. This from the guy who, as captain, spurned multiple penalty kicks at goal to go for line outs and rolling mauls that failed. And we all saw how ineffective that was against Fiji

'Complete dismantling': Eddie apologises for World Cup debacle, Hoops calls out moment that summed it up

Silver lining. At least you still qualify automatically for the next WC

Dammit… you beat me to it 😂

Exclusive: 'We'll improve': Eddie's parting shot at Wallabies assistant after sensationally quitting RWC campaign

England: but who’s going to knock us out on penalties now?
Senegal: hold my beer…

Don't mention the VAR! Germans turn disgust on team 'disgrace' as video review against Japan proven right

RIP Doddie. A literal giant amongst men.

Can we lock in Razor for post-RWC already? ????

Northern View: Eddie's reaction to Boks disaster insults England fans, cynical Wallabies-Wales cash grab a sign of distress

They do have a plan B. It’s the same as plan A…but quicker

Why only blame the coach and not the cattle?

Not just the players, some of the commentators don’t seem to know the laws either. Esp the aussies. My favorite duo are eddie butler and brian moore. Eddies glorious accent and descriptive commentary. Brians ruthless criticism of eveyone inc england. Brian also took the refs exam after he retired from playing. A wealth of knowledge for explanation of the laws

Rugby is 90 per cent mental, the other half is physical

Theres a very easy way to stop a rolling maul. Dont engage. If none of your team engages the opposition can’t advance as it would be a flying wedge and obstruction and would result in a penalty. Everyone seems to forget this. Ive only seen it once recently i think in a Yorkshire Carnegie game

Wallabies beat themselves on the Gold Coast
