Betr

Betr is the newest big bookmaker making a splash to swallow up market share

Betr is throwing huge amounts of funds into capturing as much of the betting market as possible.

This is great news for punters, as their promotions are some of the most generous in the industry – you’ll be grinning from ear to ear when you log into your Betr account with everything they offer.

Simply join up via this link to get an account at Betr today, you will not be disappointed.

Customer Service

The Betr support can be a bit slow. Maybe they don’t have enough staff to handle the huge influx of client queries, but when we used their chat support to follow up on a bank deposit there was no response within the first 24 hours (the funds went into the account eventually, but it was a negative first experience).

Hopefully over time this can improve.

Sports & Racing Markets

Betr offers betting on all the major sports: AFL, NRL, Rugby Union, Cricket, NBA, NFL, MLB etc.
There is a decent selection of sports betting markets available including Match Winner, Line and Total alongside a wide variety of Tryscorer markets.

This offering, while not as extensive as some other bookies, covers what the majority of sports punters are looking for.

The racing offering is excellent, with thoroughbreds, harness and greyhounds, with exotics, futures and more.

Odds

Looking at a random basketball market, we checked the NBA odds for Houston Rockets vs LA Clippers on 1st November 2022 to see what odds each bookie was offering for the Rockets.

Betr $4.05

TAB $4.00

Sportsbet $4.10

PlayUp $4.20

Ladbrokes $4.10

Boombet $4.00

Unibet $3.95

Palmerbet $3.90

Neds $4.10

Dabble: $4.00

So Betr was above average for that bet 20 minutes before the match was due to start, with $4.05 odds for the Houston Rockets. Overall, the bookies we checked ranged from $3.90 to $4.20 so it isn’t a huge variation, but it makes sense to have multiple accounts and bet wherever you get the best odds. Better odds means bigger winnings for you with the exact same bet.

A winning $100 bet on Houston would pay as much as $30 more at the top price ($4.20) compared to the bottom price ($3.90). If you tally up the extra winnings over the course of a year, you could be leaving a lot of money on the table by short changing yourself and taking inferior odds, so make sure you join multiple bookies to take advantage of the best price on offer.

This instance above shows that although Betr may not always be the top option, they appear to generally have good odds across their sports betting markets.

Interface and Ease of Use

The app is slightly buggy at this early stage, as we noted some difficulties in placing bets and using various features so far.

Once those kinks are worked out, it should be an adequate betting platform.

It doesn’t feel quite as polished as Sportsbet or Ladbrokes or some of the other bookmakers on offer but it’s not the worst bookie we have tested.

Betting Apps

Apps for Android and iOS devices are available through Google Play and the App Store respectively.

Special Offers and Welcome Bonuses

Due to strict regulations, bookmakers are no longer allowed to promote any special deposit bonuses or deposit matches as these are considered an ‘inducement’ to open an account. You must create an account and log in to see their latest offers.

What sets Betr apart?

Aside from being a trustworthy new Australian based bookmaker, Betr is one of the most generous bookies in Australia.

They may not be your first choice ahead of some of the leading bookmakers, but if you’re looking for something different, Betr is a fresh experience that is well worth checking out.

Responsible Gambling

Like all reputable, licensed bookmakers, Betr offers responsible gambling help. If your gambling is getting out of hand or to be more than you can afford, you can set limits to how much you deposit, and have the option to temporarily or permanently self-exclude.

Betr also offers the option to turn off withdrawal cancellations. So if you know you’re the type that will cancel a withdrawal in frustration and knock off your balance – this is a nice option to have.

Any negatives?

The app can be slow to load and buggy at times as mentioned earlier in the review, but hopefully this is something that Betr can improve over time.

Despite these minor gripes, it is well worth signing up with Betr and giving them a try.

Conclusion

Even the most jaded punter that is set in their ways and only bets at Sportsbet, should be tempted to give Betr a try. They really are that good that it makes it worthwhile going through the process of signing up and creating an account.

The racing and sport promos are arguably the best in the industry, and although the site is a bit buggy, and customer service is not up to scratch – there are enough positives to make joining up a no-brainer.
