The Perth Ground Zero are one of six esports clubs competing in the Gfinity Elite Series. They are an offshoot of existing esports franchise Ground Zero Gaming.
Being an existing esports club, most of Ground Zero’s CS:GO roster comes from their existing team. Interestingly, their Rocket League roster is made up of loan players from the Adelaide Crows-owned Legacy Esports.
Ground Zero showed that the west did have some talent in season one, where a playoff win over the strong Melbourne Avant Street Fighter crew sent them into the grand finals against the other southern team Order. Another decent performance in Rocket League saw them finish equal third. As season two begins they will look to improve consistency and strength to become a top team.
