After listening to the Rush Hour on Triple M Sydney on Thursday night, I feel compelled to weigh in on the Robbie Farah and Gorden Tallis feud.

Some comments Tallis made have angered me – he seems to have a complete lack of sympathy for Farah.

I really don’t think Tallis understands – or maybe he doesn’t care to understand – what this has done to the Tigers captain.

I’ve heard the interview where Tallis felt his integrity was being questioned. But he wasn’t backed into a corner, and I don’t see how he could feel like the only way around it was to name and shame Farah.

Being someone who “says it how it is” or “is an honest man” does not excuse repeating something that was said in confidence.

Tallis was one of my most hated players when he was playing. I then began to like him in the media, but now I have now lost all respect for him.

On the Rush Hour, Tallis said he he had got over the situation the day it occurred. Of course it was easy for him to move on – he dropped a bombshell and has left Farah to clean up the mess.

Tallis is also fuelling the fire by being critical of the way Farah has dealt with the situation. Yes, there are some things Farah could have done better, but if Tallis thinks he was ever going to get an interview from after making their private conversation public, he was dreaming.

The people advising Farah don’t have his best interests at heart. The club are in damage control and doing whatever they can to take the heat off themselves. Unfortunately for Farah, that means the heat is all on him.

Tallis can justify his actions all he wants but the fact is he threw someone under a bus to benefit himself.

Tallis ended by saying that Farah can call him anytime. My message to Farah would be, don’t bother. Tallis can’t see that he’s done anything wrong and there is no way he would ever apologise for what he’s done.
