The media is saying if the independent commission get up then it’s giving the game back to the fans. Well, I’m a fan, and I want my Bears back.
If the outcome of the IC doesn’t bring back the Central Coast Bears by 2013, then in my eyes nothing has changed. No other club has had to endure as much as the North Sydney District Rugby League Football Club have over the past 10 seasons.
And it’s about time this was addressed once and for all.
In many peoples eyes rugby league will never be the same until the foundation club Bears are finally reinstated.
The red and black Bears were the major victim in the Super League war, some may argue. And for years sections of the media conveniently forgot about the Bears plight.
As David Gallop has said time and time again, “to bring back the Bears will heal the final wound of the super league war.”
Let’s hope the IC do get it right finally and let a population of 1 million have their own RL team to support once again.
