Forget Cripps, Curnow and Walsh - the unsung Blues heroes driving Carlton's premiership push
The Blues have truly stood up and are a genuine flag threat in 2024 and they have their younger brigade of troops to thank for it.
Just in case Carlton are a bit too optimistic about retaining Matthew Kreuzer in the AFL, Collingwood’s Travis Cloke has extended him an invitation.
The Blues ruckman has returned to top form after a bad run with injury but is also out of contract at the end of this season.
Kreuzer sounded less than certain when asked about his future at Carlton earlier this week.
But the following day, club chief executive Steven Trigg was adamant Kreuzer would stay a Blue.
Now Cloke has offered the view that Kreuzer would play much better in a Collingwood guernsey.
“I actually get along pretty well with him and he’s a good bloke,” Cloke said on Thursday.
“He’s an exceptional footballer.
“I guess we’ve probably forgot how good he is till the last couple of weeks – we’ve seen his worth, how valuable he is to Carlton.
“(But) I reckon if he was in black and white he’d be a 10 times better footballer.”
