Greater Western Sydney scored the biggest AFL win in their history and have given incoming Carlton coach Brendon Bolton plenty of food for thought.

The Giants kicked 15 goals to three after halftime to canter to a 81-point win over Carlton in their final home game of the season at Spotless Stadium on Saturday.

Jeremy Cameron kicked seven goals, all after halftime, to swell his tally for the year to 61 as the Giants romped to a 20.12 (132) to 7.9 (51) victory.

It was the Giants 11th win of the season and the margin eclipsed their previous best of 78 set against Carlton in Melbourne earlier in the year.

Bolton, who earlier in the week was announced as the Blues next head coach, was at the ground.

Carlton had 19 players unavailable for different reasons, but they competed well in a scrappy first half.

They kicked the first two goals to lead by 11 points and were a point up at quarter time.

GWS kicked three goals to two in the second quarter to lead by five points at halftime.

The Giants lost Ryan Griffen to a knee injury in the third quarter, but their midfield took control of the game.

They slammed on eight goals to one in a decisive third quarter burst to lead by 50 points at the final break.

GWS added seven more majors in the final term, finishing with a club record 20 for the game, though they finished three points shy of their biggest ever score, also achieved against Carlton in 2015.

Midfielder Adam Treloar, who is being widely tipped to leave GWS, kicked three goals, and tallied 27 touches and defender Heath Shaw boosted his All-Australian hopes with another strong performance.

Rising Star contender Patrick Cripps accumulated a team-high 29 touches for the Blues for whom no-one kicked more than one goal.
