Game 3 of the 2016 State of Origin series between the Queensland Maroons> and the NSW Blues at ANZ Stadium in Sydney is scheduled for a kick-off time of 8pm (AEST) on Wednesday July 13.

It’s fairly common, however, for the kick-off time to be rescheduled for later largely due to the delays that come as a result of the pre-game entertainment and TV coverage.

An actual kick-off time of roughly 8:20pm (AEST) is the typical result to come from this. Game 1 kicked off at 8:21pm while Game 2 kicked off at 8:22pm.

The match will be broadcast live exclusively on the Nine Network through Channel 9 and 9HD. Coverage of the match on both stations is scheduled to start from 7:30pm (AEST), and finish at 10:30pm (AEST).

This is the third and final match in the series, to be played at ANZ Stadium, the second match there this year, after the first was played at ANZ and the second at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane.

Queensland already have the series in the bag after they won the first match in a low-scoring affair, 6-4, before producing a 26-16 victory on home soil to take an unassailable two-game lead.

The means the Maroons have won ten of the past 11 series, however, something that has eluded them regularly in that time is a 3-0 whitewash – they achieved it in 2010, but aside from that every other result has been a 2-1 series win.

Now there’s not much difference necessarily between a 2-1 series win and a 3-0 series win, but the Maroons may feel the motivation to really punish the Blues with a 3-0 thumping on this occasion.

Of course, the game being in NSW, it could also be a good chance for the Blues to get a victory of some sort out of the series.

The betting odds are almost perfectly even. NSW are just slightly ahead on $1.90, while Queensland are priced at $1.94.
