The biggest match in the Football tournament at the Rio Olympic Games for the gold medal in the men’s competition will see hosts Brazil take on Germany.

The match is scheduled to begin on Sunday, August 21 at 6:30am (AEST) and finish at around 8:30, however it could go longer if the need for extra time or a penalty shootout after that arises.

The gold medal game will follow that for the Bronze medal which kicks off at 2am on Sunday and will feature Honduras and Nigeria.

Channel 7 have the exclusive rights to the Olympic Games in Australia across both TV and any digital or pay networks.
