The summer of cricket changes course as Australia host New Zealand in a three-match One Day International series with the first game getting underway on Sunday, December 4 at 2:20pm (AEDT).

While the timing of this series has been criticised by some fans, due to it breaking up the Test matches, the Australia vs New Zealand rivalry always feels a little bit special.

With New Zealand being the current Chappell-Hadlee series holders after a 2-1 win at home earlier this year, the Australian’s will be keen to get the trophy back from their Trans-Tasman rivalries with all three matches to be held on the east coast of Australia.

Hours of play

Start (AEDT) Finish (AEDT)
1st Innings 2:20 PM 5:50 PM
Break 5:50 PM 6:35 PM
2nd Innings 6:35 PM 10:05 PM

*Times are subject to change due to over rates, game situation, weather

How to watch on TV and live stream

The only way to watch the match in Australia on TV is through the Nine Network. With international cricket being on the anti-siphoning list, it gives a free-to-air TV network the right to bid before pay TV, and as has been the case for some time, Nine will once again be the broadcaster.

Their coverage across Nine and Southern Cross Nine will begin 50 minutes before the beginning of play, meaning it will start at 1:30pm (AEDT).

The match coverage will include Nine News during the change of innings, although this will vary from state to state and the match may be moved to NineGEM! from 6pm to 6:30pm in your local time zone.

To stream the match online, you’ll have to sign up for a 365 Pass from cricket.com.au. The pass costs $29.95 for a year and gives you access to Nine’s coverage for all of Australia’s home games.

A day pass can also be purchased for $5.99.

Don’t forget The Roar will have a live blog of each and every day from the summer of cricket as well as highlights throughout and after the match.

How to listen on Radio

The Australia vs New Zealand ODI series will be broadcast on radio by both ABC and Fairfax.

Both of these can be accessed through your local frequencies, or online through the Cricket Australia website or mobile app. Neither will be available through their own websites.
