I loved the live stream of the Barbarians game on Fox. What a great way to watch rugby. No commentators, no instant replays, no going upstairs to the video ref – it was just like being there (TV stations, take note).
The only off-putting thing was that Facebook panel on the right. Some of the tweets are on the money, but most are not. It’s a major distraction when you don’t want to watch full-screen.
Fox, lose that and you won’t suffer one bit.
What a great innovation. No doubt they’ll improve it, with all of the bells and whistles. However, I hope they don’t change it too much – we can get by without commentators or instant replays, or stats and analysis.
