Another UFC Fight Night and card of exciting fights are set to take place in New Orleans, Louisiana. With 12 fights the card is jam packed with action and proves to set the scene for the lighter divisions within the UFC, headlined by Jake Shields vs Jake Ellenberger.

All the fights are going to be fast paced as they are all between the bantamweight and middleweight divisions.

A fight which I thought should probably be the co-main event and is my prediction for fight of the night is Jonathan Brookins vs Erik Koch.

Brookins, The Ultimate Fighter 12 winner is finally back in the Octagon after an injury layoff and ready to prove that he can work his way back up the ladder and avenge his last professional loss to UFC Featherweight champion Jose Aldo.

Erik Koch is no easy feat though proving very dangerous in his fights with only one loss to his name, and that was against the undefeated featherweight and top contender Chad Mendes. My prediction here is Jonathan Brookins by submission in the second round.

In the main event I am picking class to prevail and for Jake Shields to win this match on points.

In saying this Jake Ellenberger is an up and coming welterweight fighter that his commonly described as a mini Dan Henderson with huge power in both hands.

The key for Shields is to execute his outstanding American Jiu Jitsu and take Ellenberger down fast. For Ellenberger it is simply the opposite, keep his distance and pick off Shields like GSP did in his last fight.

Other matches to keep an eye out for are:

Evan Dunham vs Shamar Bailey.
It was less than a year ago when Dunham was scouted as the next big thing in the UFC LW division. After 2 straight losses to former LW champion Sean Sherk and the ever elusive Melvin Guillard he is ready to bounce back to the top of the pack with a win over TUF 14 Alumni Shamar Bailey.

Alan Belcher vs Jason McDonald.
Coming back from a career threatening eye injury, Alan Belcher is back to prove that he is still one of the most dangerous strikers in the UFC.

He is set to take on fellow veteran Jason McDonald who is looking for his second victory since returning back to the sport after a one year absence. Pick here is Belcher by decision.
