After last week’s stirring victory, the Waratahs will look for back-to-back wins when they face the Chiefs in Hamilton this afternoon. We’ll have live scores from the kick-off at 5.30pm AEDT.

It was by no means a vintage performance, but it was enough to silence the numerous and vocal critics that had begun to descend on the Waratahs camp over recent weeks as the losses began to rack up.

Just how much they can take from the win over the Sharks will be tested this afternoon when they face a red-hot Chiefs unit who had won three on the bounce before last week’s bye.

For the home side hooker Hika Elliot comes back into the starting lineup and Lelia Masaga returns to the bench, while Waratahs boss Michael Foley has the luxury of naming an unchanged 22 from last Saturday’s match.

After being accused of negative, conservative tactics over the first four matches, the Waratahs looked to have broken the shackles last week and it resulted in some enterprising, running rugby. They’ll need more of the same this evening, but they come up against a side who look to have one of the sternest defences in the competition.

But this game will either be won or lost up front. The Waratahs have been suspect at the scrum at times in 2012 and if it happens tonight, the critics will be back in no time.

Are the Tahs the real deal? Find out from 5.30pm AEDT as we cover all the action with live scores as they happen and if you’re watching or following along, post your opinions in the space below.
