Over 2 million people are gathered, they have come from far and wide; All dressed in their State’s colours, that are gladly worn with pride

A sea of Maroon and Blue, is seen throughout the land
It’s State against State to see who gets the upper hand
That whistle sounds the start, of this battle number three
The greatest game of all, not too many would disagree
New South Wales are out to win, they want to break that spell
That Queensland has cast upon them, it is hurting them like hell
Queensland will play hard, they are out to make it seven
If they win this series mate, Mal would have died and gone to heaven
Now Ricky he is desperate, so don’t be taken in
With his infectious looking smile and charismatic grin
He has tried a few new tactics, in the bid to win this game
But I think they will be useless, we will shoot them down in flames
These men, who play this football, are true heroes without a doubt
They all thrive on our adrenalin, they just love to hear us shout
So let the game begin, let us do battle, just once more
It’s going to be, just great, can’t wait for that final score!
