In breaking news, media reports are pointing towards Waratahs head coach Michael Foley leaving the Sydney club this morning.

The Sydney Morning Herald reports that the Waratahs will issue a media announcement to explain Foley’s position in the club and his expected move to the Western Force.

The Foley saga at the end of the Super Rugby season has been played out in the media, with the Western Force looking to recruit Foley to take over from the departing Richard Graham – who is Queensland Reds bound.

The news comes just a day after the resignation of chairman Edwin Zemancheff, with Waratahs team manager Chris Webb also leaving a a week ago.

The club appears to be on its knees after experiencing a woeful season in 2012, losing their final eight matches and attracting condemnation from fans and media.

More to come.
