It’s only round one yet Broncos fans are already seem to be giving up on their team before a ball was kicked in fury in front of only 31,000 for the opening round for the season at Suncorp Stadium.

Every club has its ups and downs. It’s time for Broncos supporters to swallow their medicine if in fact the Broncos are on the decline.

Every other NRL club has declined in the past and some clubs like the Cowboys have been cellar-dwellers for a while, but their fans stood by their club no matter what and are getting rewarded with a fantastic team.

For far too long Broncos supporters have been spoiled with success that any other sporting fan would love to have – constant finals appearances and six premierships – but it amounts to nil at the moment Broncos begin to lose.

As a result, the Brisbane sporting public jump on a bandwagon whether it’s the Reds, Roar, or Lions to fulfill their glory-hunting.

Actual supporters stick by their team – I have been apart of the Cowboys since 2009/10 which was their darkest hours.

I kept the faith and so did many others and the boys are primed for a potential maiden premiership.

Broncos supporters have never dealt with a losing side before and based on how they react on a short losing streak they will be far away from Suncorp Stadium in a time where the Broncos need their support.

The fickleness of the Brisbane sporting scene is open for everyone to see.
