What happens inside a footy club?

From an outsider’s perspective, what happens inside the workings of a football club appears to be a mystery.

Journalists, ex-players and even current players get the opportunity to prognosticate as to what Melbourne should do in their current turmoil, for example.

When does the CEO go as compared to the coach? Should they both have gone together previously? Are the players dissatisfied with the coach or the club as a whole?

Why can’t the players express how they feel collectively? With all the talent at Melbourne there must be a reason, however they don’t portray themselves as being team-oriented or show the desire to put their body on the line.

AFL players today are professional and this means they spend a large part of each day either at the club or being involved in football activities. So what do they talk about all day long over the week in between a game?

It’s something I’d like to know and I’m sure many others would also.

There’s something fascinating about all the cloak and dagger routines that often transpire in these situations, only to eventually discover the reasoning behind the action was all very simple.

A prize should be awarded to the person who details what goes on at a club during the week and comes up with the reasoning for a club’s actions.
