All eyes will be on Jobe Watson tonight after his stunning admission of doping during the week. Join us here for all the live scores, commentary as Essendon go against the West Coast Eagles from 8.10pm AEST at Patersons Stadium.

As mentioned the turmoil that has been at Essendon this week will mean that the football world will again be looking down on them, with opinions and comments coming from every angle.

The only thing the players will be worried about is beating this weakened Eagles side.

The Eagles during the week lost Scott Selwood, Shannon Hurn and Andrew Embley to extended stints on the sidelines.

The loss of Selwood and Hurn is perhaps that which hurts the most, and they are both major impact players.

The ring of changes will mean it’s time for the likes of Bradd Dalziell, Matt Rosa and Brad Shepherd to step up big time.

The Bombers have dumped their young stud Joe Daniher in favour of their two best ruckman which on the surface looks like a good move against Cox and Nic Nat.

The most startling contrast in this match is the possession useage. Essendon ranks 1st in the competition for disposals and West Coast 16th.

In saying this the Eagles appear to be far superior in the defensive game, averaging 69 tackles to the Bombers’ 60.

The big timber down forward for the Eagles will mean Michael Hurley will head to the back line, thinning out the Dons forward line.

Big games from Davey, Crameri, Bellchambers and Ryder will be key to ensure the Bombers can kick a good enough score. With help from the midfield this should see them over the line.

The Eagles accuracy has cost them numerous games this season and if they don’t kick straight again this week it will be much the same. LeCras and Darling need to step up in that department big time.

With confidence I am going to tip Essendon by 30 points.
