A blockbuster trade in the NBA took place last week. The Brooklyn Nets have managed to acquire Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett and Jason Terry.

They did so in exchange for forwards Kris Humphries, Gerald Wallace, along with guard Keith Bogans and three unprotected first round picks in the years of 2014, 2016 and 2018.

This deal will most certainly shake up the outlook in the east as teams look to strengthen their squads in order to contend with and hopefully defeat back-to-back champions Miami Heat.

For Boston however it seems that general manager Danny Ainge is ready to accelerate the rebuilding process whether or not Rondo will be apart of this process remains to be seen.

It could also be said that the Celtics may be attempting to tank in order to potentially gain a lottery pick that may end up being used on Andrew Wiggins, the exciting young Canadian prospect, who is expected to hear his name called out first one year from now.

Whatever ends happening it definitely is an exciting trade and an exciting time for all NBA fans especially those that follow the Brooklyn Nets.

In other trade news, Australian Andrew Bogut has quashed rumours that he could be on the move to the Los Angeles Lakers in exchange for Dwight Howard. Bogut said there was ”less than one percent chance he would be on the move”.
