MS Dhoni’s leadership skills are treated as the most promising in the history of Indian cricket.

He has got the perfect temperament for leading the Indian XI.

There is an endless list of remarkable achievements ranging from recently concluded Champions Trophy to prestigious World Cup, T20 World Cup, and many other matches played on Indian soil or abroad.

Yes, this is all about the wonderful captain of India, MS Dhoni, who turned 32 years on Sunday.

He has secured this commendable position in our hearts by virtue of his sheer commitment, hard work and sincerity.

His initiatives and unparalleled ability to get the best performance from the team, even in the worst possible situation, through encouragement and by putting himself upfront, has always given wonderful results.

Many of his fans will be surprised to know that in his first ever international match he was not able to deliver, but in the ensuing match he showed the spark, and from that very moment until today, he has emerged as an unbeaten hero most of the time.

His level of understanding with the team mates, be it a new entrant or a stalwart, is appreciated by one and all.

Through his excellent communication skills, he has always been able to infuse the fighting spirit among the team mates.

So much so that even the targets, which seem very difficult on any given scale, were made achievable with the inspiration and integrated teamwork.

Also, due to the immaculate strategy and brave moves made by Dhoni, India recently won the Champions Trophy.

Many of his followers argue that he is the backbone and most dependable element of team India – one who has become indispensable as his recent ouster proved disastrous for India in the Tri-Series.

India is still hanging around and depending on the outcome of the match between West Indies and Sri Lanka, due to non-availability of a mentor like Dhoni.

His capabilities of handling the teammates in a fairly easy manner vouch for his wisdom, as he was pretty comfortable with the legends like Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Sehwag and Yuvraj Singh.

He also seems to be gelling well with the latest arrivals like Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Shikhar Dhawan.

Apart from a very good batsman, his meticulous contribution as one of the best wicketkeepers will always be remembered.

I personally admire, among his numerous qualities, his ability to forget defeat and always move forward in a positive mode to regain the lost glory.

After losing the series to England and Australia 4-0 respectively, his team made a strong comeback by beating the Aussies 4-0.

Very often you will find even the commentators appreciating the way he shuffles the bowlers or sets the most effective field placement.

Additionally, his superb judgment to choose batting or bowling after winning the toss, keeping in view the weather and ground conditions has been terrific.

His judgments have been proved true most of the times paving the way for the victory of team India.

After Sunil Gavaskar and Kapil Dev, he is the one known for displaying the confidence and aggression needed in ever competitive world of cricket and yet he is referred to as captain cool.

This is because he remains calm and cool even in tense situations. The best part has been that he has always shown his contentment and composure even after winning any big event.

I also do hope that he will be there to lead team India for at least another 10 years. Wishing him the very best in life.
