The recent rumours that have been circulating linking Blake Ferguson to the South Sydney Rabbitohs has got me all excited.

Yes, the man has his issues, but Michael Maguire would be the perfect man to get the best out of the talented centre.

Blake officially became a free agent in the middle October, and with his continued commitment to counselling and turning his life around, he is getting back on track.

With boxing and leading an alcohol-free life, this turnaround could be the ultimate factor in helping Blake become a new man.

Madge leads a very disciplined battalion at Souths.

Since his arrival the likes of Ben Te’o went on the record stating how Madge helped him turn into a man.

He has a very Sir Alex Ferguson management style, you earn his ire, and you will have to work triple times over to get back on his good side.

No one is bigger than the coach and this is the leader Blake Ferguson needs.

Despite all our opinions about his off-field indiscretions you can’t deny this man is ridiculously talented.

One big factor that denied Souths any glory this season was part of their back-line.

The Likes of Nathan Merritt and Dylan Farrell really don’t have an impact on matches the way Roger Tuivasa-Sheck and Jorge Tafua have had on their sides.

Signing Blake will be in my opinion Souths final piece to their premiership puzzle.

And for Blake he will have great role models in Greg Inglis and Nathan Merrit to help steer him in a positive direction.

If Blake does Sign for Souths he will bring much needed speed, creativity, and a fresh new spark that they were screaming out for this season.

And with Souths bolstering their pack with the signing of Raiders front rower Joe Picker, hopefully Souths will add a little more green machine to their 2014 title hopes.
