Brisbane Roar look to get their season back on track after a shock 2-0 defeat to the Newcastle Jets, when they travel south to take on Sydney FC at Allianz Stadium. Join us for live scores and commentary from 7.30pm AEDT.

Both teams come into this fixture on the back of defeats.

Sydney FC awarded Wellington Phoenix their first win of the season after beat Sydney 1-0 at Westpac Stadium, while the ladder-leading Brisbane Roar were outplayed on a patchy Suncorp Stadium by the Jets on Friday night.

In some good news for Sydney their two marquees, Alessandro Del Piero and Brett Emerton, look set to return to the starting lineup.

A question mark still hangs over whether Mike Mulvey will hand Kwame Yeboah his last-ever appearance in a Roar jersey before he heads to Borussia Mönchengladbach.

A win for the Brisbane Roar would give them a two-point buffer over Western Sydney, but a draw or loss could see the A-League leaders take a dip down the table if results don’t go their way.

The last meeting between the two sides ended badly for Sydney, succumbing to a 4-0 thrashing at Suncorp Stadium.

If history has anything to go by then we are looking at another Brisbane Roar win, who usually bounce back after a loss in their next fixture.

Prediction
I don’t have much confidence with Sydney, so I am going for a 3-1 Brisbane Roar win.
