Tonight sees Central Coast Mariners head down the M1 to take on Sydney FC in what is a crucial fixture for both sides. Join us for live scores and commentary from 7.45pm AEDT.

Much of the media coverage this week has been on the exit of two high-profile footballers from the A-League.

One is a Sydney FC marquee, and the other is a boy playing his trade in Glasgow who will be on his way back to the A-League to cement his place in Ange Postecoglou’s World Cup squad.

Both sides will be looking to get their season back on track after some woeful results as of late.

Sydney FC welcome back Joel Chianese from injury, Nicky Carle from suspension, while Aaron Calver is promoted to the match day squad.

The Sky Blues are however without Richie Garcia, Tiago Calvano, and Hagi Gilgor through injury, suspension and international duty respectively.

They also farewell their marquee man Brett Emerton, who announced his retirement at the age of 35 from the world game during the week.

Central Coast Mariners welcome in Tom Slater, Marcel Siep and Hayden Morton, while John Hutchinson is out through suspension.

Sydney FC will need to get back to winning ways to keep their finals push alive, their run of four straight losses has been quite ridiculous and Farina will be looking to turn his fortunes around before speculation about his future will come to air again.

Prediction
Sydney FC will return to winning ways, I predict a 2-1 victory late on.
