Can Australia continue along their merry winning streak against the old enemy, or will England finally grab their first win against an Australian first team for the tour? Join us for live scores from 2.20pm AEDT.

The newly-crowned number one ODI side in the world, Australia look near-unbeatable in this series.

James Faulkner’s heroics in the second match at the Gabba to almost single-handedly snatch victory were sandwiched between two thorough wins, and it’s hard to see a demoralised England squad bouncing back.

On top of that, the Australian selectors have given one of the side’s best limited overs player over the past 12 months some motivation to improve on his form.

George Bailey’s axing from the Test squad should only make him more hungry for runs; and if the Twenty20 skipper and ODI player of the year’s hitting gets any cleaner, fans in the stands might want to look out.

He’s also taken the reins from Michael Clarke who is being rested.

If England need to find any motivation to claim their first win of the tour, it might come in the form of an undesirable record they would achieve should they lose again.

Another loss would equal England’s record for most consecutive losses across all formats with 10, a feat no player wants to see in their player bio.

It may sound like the nearest record player is broken, but England captain Alastair Cook will also want to avoid further ignominy, and posting a good score will go a way to him regaining confidence in himself.

Confidence aside, Cook has shown before that he has it in him to bounce back, and it would take a bit of heat of the skipper should he tally a reasonable score.

If any number of England’s young guns fire, anything can happen in 50-over cricket, but Australia have never been better placed to secure the number one ranking and sweep the series.

Will Australia make it 4-0 in the series? Find out from 2.20pm AEDT.
