We’re reaching the end of the Premier League season and reigning champions Manchester United are struggling in sixth position on the table. The question on everyone’s lips is, should manager David Moyes be sacked?

Moyes has been in a bit of a strife lately due to the team’s poor performance. United fans have lost hope and patience under the new manager and are calling for the sack.

If Moyes fails to qualify for the Champions League next season and the teams gets beaten by Olympiakos in the second leg of their current round of 16 Champions League campaign, thus knocking them out of the competition, then the Manchester United board must sack him.

If Moyes wants to save his job and be a long term successor to Sir Alex Ferguson, he must use the right formation for the team and must select the best players in his starting XI.

The formation Moyes must use is a 4-1-3-2:

Goalkeeper David De Gea, right back Rafael, left back Patrice Evra, two centre backs Nemanja Vidic and Phil Jones. His midfielders should be central defensive midfielder Michael Carrick, left midfielder Adnan Januzaj, central attacking midfielder Juan Mata and right midfielder Shinji Kagawa. The two strikers should be Robin Van Persie and Wayne Rooney.

This will make Moyes’ job a lot easier, and also can win games with this formation.

He must start Shinji Kagawa every time as he is a good player, can break through the opposing team’s defence, can create a lot of opportunties and can have a good combination with Juan Mata.

Moyes needs to play Javier Hernandez more as he is a strong impact player coming off the bench.

Also, Moyes must tell his team to attack more, whether they are at home or away, to create better opportunties and to finish the opportunies a bit stronger and on target.

If Moyes does get sacked, the perfect candidates to replace him would be Roberto Di Matteo (former Chelsea manager), Jurgen Klopp (Borussia Dortmund), Pep Guardiola (Bayern Munich), Louis Van Gaal (Netherlands internation team) or Diego Simeone (Atletico Madrid).
