Perth Glory host the Newcastle Jets to close out Round 25 of the A-League. Join The Roar for live scores and coverage at 7:00pm (AEDT).

The Glory’s season started with so much promise, but all hope has disappeared with Perth sitting in last place on 22 points, looking almost certain for the wooden spoon.

It wasn’t helped by a 3 goal thrashing from Western Sydney last Sunday afternoon.

You wouldn’t think the news could get worse for the Glory, but it does.

Newcastle are back in the mix for the finals after handing out their own thrashing last weekend against the mercurial Wellington Phoenix.

The Jets have their destiny in their own hands in the remaining games – win and you’re in.

They will be hungry for a win today.

However, the Glory have reason to be confident, based on their form against the Jets.

They are unbeaten in the last eleven clashes, winning the last six.

But Newcastle have the league’s top-scorer in Adam Taggart; he will be key to piling on the pain for the Glory.

Perth welcome back Sydnei Sciola and Riley Woodcock but will be without the services of Shane Smeltz who is still out with a groin injury.

Newcastle are riding high on momentum with no injuries currently and Emile Heskey netting his first since February 2013 against the Phoenix.

So join The Roar for live scores and coverage from 7:00pm AEDT for the final match in what has been an intriguing round of A-League.
