The Western Force have been playing some strong rugby so far this season and after a bye last weekend they’ll be looking to win their fourth game in a row against the Reds tonight at Suncorp Stadium. Join The Roar live scores and coverage from 7:40pm (AEDT).
No teams could be more equally matched than the Reds and the Force. Both have shown just how tough their skins are in this year’s competiton.
After the Red’s narrow victory against the Stormer’s last weekend, the team now boasts three wins out of six and place fourth in the Australian conference.
The Force sit in third place and enter Round 8 with rested bodies and three back-to-back wins.
Both sides have touched down 14 tries this season, but one major difference between the two sides is where they have made their tries.
Interestingly, the Force have scored half of their tries from possessions that originated from a lineout.
The Reds on the other hand have been fast starters, but slow finishers. They have scored exactly four tries in each of the first three 20 minute periods of their games this season, but have only managed to touchdown two tries during the final quarter.
Head-to-head the Reds have the advantage, however with the Force’s current form and considering they are coming off three back-to-back wins, I would be surprised if they did not come away with the points tonight.
The Force’s hooker, Matthew Charles, will also be playing his 50th game tonight since being selected in 2010 for his first Super Rugby season.
