Sydney FC host bitter rivals Melbourne Victory at Allianz Stadium. Be sure to join The Roar for live scores and coverage from 7.30pm AEDT.

In life there are three guarantees: death, taxes and the Big Blue providing thrills.

The last edition of this fixture was a six-goal thriller, so expect more of the same tonight.

Sebb Ryall returns from a long injury for Sydney FC, while Rob Stambolziev gets promoted into the squad with George Blackwood and Hagi Gligor.

Sydney have two suspensions to deal with from last week’s fixture, with Nikola Petkovic and Jacques Faty out. Long-term absentees Ali Abbas, Corey Gameiro, Nicky Carle and Saša Ognenovski will also misso out.

For Melbourne, Mark Milligan and Jesse Makarounas return to the side. In terms of injuries, Matthieu Delpierre is their only worry.

Both sides come into this fixture with great form, Sydney having found their goal-scoring groove after the league resumed from the Asian Cup break. Meanwhile, Victory are riding high after their 3-0 victory in last week’s Melbourne derby.

A troubling stat for Sydney FC is that they haven’t scored in their last three home fixtures, which Melbourne will take confidence from.
