Monday night features some blockbuster tennis with the final of the Monte-Carlo Masters between Novak Djokovic and Tomas Berdych and day two of the Fed Cup World Group semi-finals.

Both the Czech Republic and Russia are seeking to seal their spots in the final after establishing commanding 2-0 leads.

Angelique Kerber gave us a sweat last week before unforced errors from Madison Keys allowed Kerber to rally from 1-4 down in the final set and win the Family Circle Cup in windy conditions.

Novak Djokovic versus Tomas Berdych (10.30pm AEST)
Djokovic demonstrated he was at his best on clay with a comprehensive win over nine-time French Open champion Rafael Nadal in the semi-final, exposing the Spaniard’s backhand weaknesses during the rallies.

While the scoreline was even more lopsided in Berdych’s win over Gael Monfils, it appeared the Frenchman didn’t concentrate for much of the match, letting his previous lack of success against the Czech frustrate him.

Djokovic leads Berdych 18-2 head-to-head and the Serb has won all but one of his eleven matches against top ten opposition this season and I can’t see Berdych troubling the world number one.

Svetlana Kuznetsova versus Sabine Lisicki (8pm AEST)
Kuznetsova and Lisicki battle it out in the third rubber between Russia and Germany. Lisicki leads 2-0 head-to-head, although they haven’t met since the round of 32 of the 2012 Australian Open.

Kuznetsova enjoyed a comfortable straight sets win over Julia Goerges on the weekend as she overpowered the German from the baseline, while Lisicki was unable to convert a match point in the second set against Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova before losing the second set in a tie break and the match in three sets.

Kuznetsova’s return game has been a bit inconsistent this season and while it’s hard to say which Sabine Lisicki will turn up tonight, if Lisicki can keep the unforced errors down, she’s a great chance.
