With State Of Origin taking up plenty of column inches, let’s cast a glance into the future at who might be donning the Queensland State Of Origin guernsey in 2020.

1. Anthony Milford
Played his best at fullback when he was with the Raiders, although he is playing some really good football at five-eighth for the Broncos.

2. Corey Thompson
The exciting young Bulldogs winger is a bit small but has great finishing skills.

3. Valentine Holmes
Already showing his class for the sharks and envisage a long representative career in front of him.

4. Dane Gagai
On the cusp of breaking into the Queensland side, hr will get his chance once Justin Hodges or Greg Inglis goes.

5. John Folau
Israel Folau’s younger brother has shown great potential for the Eels. Queensland hopes he will turn out to be just as good as his older brother.

6. Michael Morgan
Already in the Queensland side, Morgan has the skills, speed and strength to wear the coveted no. 6 jumper, worn by some of Queensland’s greats.

7. Ben Hunt
The form halfback in the competition is waiting in the wings for when Cooper Cronk retires.

8. Josh McGuire
Reminds me of Shane Webke. Can see him leading the front row for Queensland for a long time.

9. James Segeyaro
The lightning quick hooker is playing great football for the Panthers. Once Cameron Smith hangs up the boots he should be first in line as replacement.

10. Dylan Napa
Already in the eyes of the Queensland selectors, it shouldn’t be long before he breaks into the side.

11. Kenny Bromwich
Already played for Queensland residents, is sure to be in the eyes of the selectors.

12. Korbin Sims
Has declared his allegiance to Queensland despite his brother wanting to play for NSW – whom he has the potential to be just as good as.

13. Corey Oates
The Broncos winger has the size to play in the forwards.

Honorable mentions
Jayden Nikorima has freakish skills, and is putting them to use coming of the bench for Broncos. Can see him doing the same thing for Queensland in 2020.

Joe Ofahengoue has just signed for the next two years with the Broncos, which should keep him in the selectors’ eyes.

Chris Grevsmuhl the North Queensland product is playing some good football for the Rabbitohs and is sure to be in the spotlight in years to come.

Well that’s my team. What do you make of it Roarers, who do you see wearing Maroon in 2020?
