Al Ahed vs. Mariners: AFC Cup Final Preview
This weekend, a year long odyssey ends in either triumph or heartbreak. After taking the longest possible route - twelve matches, seven opponents, six…
Picture the classy Juventus midfield consisting of Claudio Marchisio, Arturo Vidal, Paul Pogba and of course the king of class Andrea Pirlo.
Now picture that midfield plus German international Sami Khedira.
Khedira seems like the man who was just cut out to be in a black and white Juve shirt.
Considering the Old Lady had the smarts to sign Sami on his contract expiry, it gives the Italian giants a little more breathing space in their transfer budget.
Andrea Pirlo is soon to retire so Sami again fills in that classic central defensive midfielder role.
It is a good signing for the club, especially since there were several clubs in contention for Khedira’s signature such as Arsenal and Chelsea.
Sami posted a few weeks ago on his Facebook account saying, “I am happy and excited to say that I will be playing for Juventus Turin for the next years!”.
“With Juve everything seemed to fall in place. My discussions with the coach and the manager were great. The competitive future with the team. The great team itself and the unbelievable fans! A great club with a one of a kind tradition in a very special city!
“I am totally looking forward to an exciting time in black and white! Forza Juve!”
So the former Real Madrid star looks to have possibly set up the rest of his career up in black and white.
