Robin van Persie’s Old Trafford exit has officially been confirmed as the Dutchman will now be presented as a Fenerbahçe player on Monday.

Van Persie will fly to Istanbul on Sunday and is expected to be presented as a Fenerbahçe player on Monday according to Sky Sports.

The Dutchman completed the first part of his medical in England last week and is expected to pen a four year-deal with the Turkish club upon completion of his medical.

He will link up with former United teammate Nani, who only arrived in Istanbul earlier this week, as Fenerbahçe look set to complete the swoop as part of a busy summer for the Turkish giants.

Van Persie leaves Old Trafford with a Premier League medal and a Community Shield winners medal to his name and was an integral part in United’s 20th title, scoring a league leading 26 goals to help the club secure the title.

Van Persie leaves the Premier League with 189 goals from 382 games in what was an 11-year stint in the top flight of English football after playing his first eight seasons in the league with Arsenal.

Van Persie has struggled for fitness and form over the last two seasons but will nevertheless be remembered as one of the Premier League’s most successful imports.
