Fringe Wallabies squad members Christian Lealiifano and Sean McMahon have been released from Australia’s Bledisloe Cup training camp to play for a World XV against Japan in Tokyo.

The pair will join recent Wallabies squad members Nick Cummins and Taqele Naiyaravoro among 14 Australian internationals in the match in Japan.

In their absence, Wallabies coach Michael Cheika has recalled Queensland Reds centre Samu Kerevi and NSW Waratahs captain Dave Dennis to round out his 30-man squad ahead of the Bledisloe Cup decider against New Zealand in Auckland on Saturday.

He welcomed the chance for fringe players to get valuable match play in the World XV game.

“We’ve travelled with an extended squad throughout the 2015 international season, so it’s good for the players to get some quality game time against a strong opponent like Japan,” said Cheika.

Wallabies 30-man squad:
Adam Ashley-Cooper, Kurtley Beale, Quade Cooper, David Dennis, Scott Fardy. Israel Folau, Bernard Foley, Matt Giteau, Greg Holmes, Michael Hooper, James Horwill, Sekope Kepu, Samu Kerevi, Tevita Kuridrani, Stephen Moore, Drew Mitchell, Ben McCalman, Dean Mumm, Wycliff Palu, Nick Phipps, David Pocock, Tatafu Polota-Nau, Scott Sio, Will Skelton, James Slipper, Toby Smith, Henry Speight, Matt Toomua, Joe Tomane, Nic White.
