Anthony ‘The Milf’ Milford is a genuine legend in the making. He’s had a fantastic year transitioning from fullback to five-eighth, with his ball-playing and kicking skills, and game awareness increasing dramatically, making him one of the most dangerous halves in the game.

And he’s only 21. Think about it, he is already so good and has at least 12 or 13 years of NRL left to play. Scary to think what he can produce in that time.

I think he will be rated alongside Darren Lockyer as one of the greatest ever Broncos if he stays in Brisbane.

Some might say his teammates make him look good, but you can’t deny his talent. Don’t get me wrong, he has a lot to work on if he wants to close out close games on big occasions, especially if Ben Hunt isn’t able to do so. But with Wayne Bennett at the helm, Milford won’t be allowed to get big headed, he’ll stay humble and keep working on every aspect of his game.

A lot of spectators don’t notice how many tackle breaks he makes, he is one of the leading halves in the comp in that department. He also leads Hunt in try assists and tries. However he also has more handling errors.

If the Broncos are to win the premiership, Milford needs to be at his best.
