The Golden State Warriors play their second game in two nights when they travel to face the Los Angeles Lakers at the Staples Centre. Join The Roar for live scores from 2:30pm (AEDT).

Today’s clash is a battle of first versus last in the Western Conference as the 32-2 Warriors look to make it four wins from four starts against their 8-27 Californian rivals this season.

In their previous three meetings, the Warriors offence has simply blown the Lakers away, with the reigning champs averaging 126 points per game across the season series.

Despite the Lakers’ struggles so far this season, they carry a three-game winning streak into this game, and with the Warriors needing to back up from a ten-point win against the Charlotte Hornets yesterday, this match is the Lakers best chance to get within striking distance of one of the league’s most dominant teams.

The LA faithful will be hoping that MVP Steph Curry has a reduced impact as a result of the recent confusion regarding his shin injury. Interim Warriors coach, Luke Walton, stated following the win against Charlotte that he “didn’t even think Steph was going to play”.

Curry, of course, did play and chipped in (a standard) 30 points.

Is there any chance he aggravated his injury and will be forced into a quiet night in Los Angeles? It looks to be the Lakers only hope.

Join The Roar for live scores of the Lakers versus Warriors from 2:30pm (AEDT).
