The Chicago Bulls are looking for their sixth straight win when they host the Boston Celtics on Friday (AEDT). Join The Roar for live scores from the game starting at 12:00pm (AEDT).

The Bulls are currently in the best form they’ve been in all season and it’s thanks in no small part to the work of Jimmy Butler who has lifted his game after being openly critical of Bulls coach Fred Holberg in December.

The Bulls improved form has seen them rise to second on the Eastern Conference table, however they are still three wins behind the conference-leading Cleveland Cavaliers. A sixth consecutive win here would be their best win streak so far in the season.

The Boston Celtics on the other hand are sitting in eighth in the Eastern Conference with a 19-16 record. They have the potential to climb fairly quickly if they starting putting wins together in what is a very even conference, but they have lost three of their last four.

The Celtics have the best on the road record in the conference with 10-6, and are one of just four teams in the conference to have a positive record away from home. On the other hand their record at home is 9-10 for the season, quite poor, and the only negative record inside the top eleven of the Eastern Conference.

The Celtics won this match by five points when the two sides last met in December last year, but that was in Boston. They haven’t played each other in Chicago in over a year, but when they did, the Bulls won by five points in overtime.

Prediction: The Celtics are no easy-beats and their record on the road this season is impressive. However, the Bulls recent run of the form suggests that they should be the comfortable winners in this match-up. Bulls by 8.
