The Western Sydney Wanderers host Melbourne City in a top of the table clash at Pirtek Stadium to kick off Round 17. Join The Roar for live scores from 7:40pm (AEDT).

Melbourne City, with form on their side, will be looking to move past the current league leading Wanderers with a win tonight. To do so, however, would mean claiming their first ever win in Parramatta.

Of the five times City has travelled to Sydney’s west to face the Wanderers they have managed three losses and two draws. After a disappointing loss at home against rivals Sydney FC in the derby two weeks back, the Wanderers will be hungry to make amends and give their home crowd something to cheer about tonight.

They will also be hungry to get some revenge for the 3-2 loss they were handed by City in Melbourne earlier this month. That game snapped the Wanderers’ ten-game unbeaten streak, and seemingly derailed what had been an incredibly impressive stretch.

The Wanderers have been stumbling ever since, now with just the one win from four starts in 2016, while City are hitting their straps, undefeated so far in 2016 off the back of a potent scoring streak that’s seen them find the back of the net ten times in their past four games.

Can the Wanderers reassert themselves at the top of the A-League ladder? Or will City sneak past and claim top spot?

Join The Roar for live scores of the Wanderers versus City from 7:40pm (AEDT) to find out.
