An inter-conference battle sees the Cleveland Cavaliers try and pull away at the top of the Eastern Conference when they take on the Memphis Grizzlies. Join The Roar for live scores of this NBA fixture from 11am (AEDT).

The Cavaliers have won their last three games in a row, but that was bouncing back from losing three of their previous four, as it looked like off-court issues were catching up.

However, Cleveland have turned things around – for the time being.

Sitting first place in the east, the Cavaliers have a record of 44 wins and 17 losses, to sit three games ahead of the second-placed Toronto Raptors.

The Grizzlies need to start picking up games they aren’t being widely tipped in if they want a home final. While they have a six-and-a-half game buffer on making the play-offs, they need to improve their record by 2.5 games over the Los Angeles Clippers to earn the right for home court advantage.

Despite the fact Indiana have won six of their last eight, many of these have been against lowly ranked opponents, so it is hard to judge their form.

The Grizzlies must shut down LeBron James in this game, or it could be a blow out. For Memphis, Marc Gasol, who is averaging 16.6 points per game in the centre position, is the key.

These teams met all the way back on the second day of the season, when the Cavs were way, way too strong, taking a 30-point win on the back of a Kevin Love double-double.

Prediction
While the Grizzlies have recorded recent wins, they are nowhere near being in the same league as the Cavaliers.
