Both Russia and Slovakia are searching for their first win of the Euro 2016 competition when they clash at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy. Join The Roar from 11pm (AEST) for live scores and coverage.

Despite going into their last fixture, against England, as underdogs, Russia salvaged a last-minute draw to come away with a point.

Vasili Berezutski found the net right at the death to ensure the 1-all draw and break English hearts.

However, Russia’s story this competition has been centred off the pitch rather than on it, with officials threatening to pull them out of the competition should any fan-related violence continue. The English fans have also been warned.

After a disappointing 2-1 loss to Wales in their opening fixture, Slovakia cannot afford to drop any more points.

Ondrej Duda equalised after Gareth Bale’s early opener, however Hal Robson-Kanu’s goal with just seven minutes to play made sure that Slovakia went into Week 2 of the tournament with nothing.

Slovakia were missing key striker Robert Vittek, and Marek Hamsik and Adam Nemec must step up if they wish to keep their dreams alive.

Both sides have plenty to play for, and a loss for either see could see their last 16 hopes slip out of reach. Both sides have similarities all over the pitch, and it could come down to which striker is having the better day.
