Steve McNamara can save South Sydney – but if they appoint Bennett, Parra should swoop

Semi Radradra’s NRL future remains up in the air after he failed to return to Australia on Tuesday night as Parramatta seek compensation should he depart for French rugby.
Despite assurances from his management and the club, Radradra looks set to be a no-show at the club’s training session on Wednesday morning.
The two-time reigning Dally M winger of the year had been granted leave to return to his native Fiji during the club’s bye week amid reports he had told friends and family he would not return.
Top 14 club Bordeaux have reportedly tabled an offer for the Australian Test flyer worth $35,000 per game, with the added bonus of it being tax free.
According to Fairfax Media, the Eels are seeking $700,000 in compensation should he walk out on the club.
The club would ask $500,000, the worth of his remaining contract, which expires at the end of next year, as well as $200,000 in damages.
The deal is similar to the one struck by Sonny Bill Williams following his infamous walk out on Canterbury in 2008.
Radradra was on Tuesday named in coach Brad Arthur’s side to take on the table-topping Cronulla at Shark Park on Saturday night.
After Radradra left the country and reports of his departure from the NRL flared, the club said his mid-season sojourn had been planned and he would be back in time to take on the Sharks.
Should he fail to turn up at the Eels’ training centre at North Parramatta on Wednesday, it would cast doubt on his future in rugby league.
However, it would not be the first time he has returned late from a trip to Fiji.
The club could issue Radradra with a breach notice – just a day after Kieran Foran was issued a similar notice and stripped of the captaincy for failing to fulfil his commitments over his rehabilitation from a shoulder injury.
