It’s about this time of the year where all you read are finals previews and articles about what’s to come in 2017.

This post will be no different, as I highlight some of the most pivotal players for the 2017 season.

Mitchell Moses (Wests Tigers)
Young Moses finished the 2016 season as one of the form players in the competition. His ball-playing ability and running game has developed at a rapid pace since his debut in late 2014.

Moses should head in 2017 with good form and high confidence, and with a fit Tedesco outside him, he has potential to be anything.

Kerrod Holland (Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs)
With Sam Perrett retiring and Curtis Rona moving on to another code, rookie centre Holland should have a regular starting spot in the Bulldogs line-up.

He has shown that he possesses great speed and strength, and his goal kicking is just a bonus for Des’ doggies.

The Saifiti Twins (Newcastle Knights)
After a season that all Knights fans will be quick to erase from their memories, at least they can sleep well knowing young gun forward brothers Jacob and Daniel Saifiti, will come back even better in 2017.

A shining light of sorts in what was a sour season, these twins will need to be forward leaders for the novocastrians in 2017.

Manaia Cherrington (Cronulla Sharks)

Former Wests Tigers reserve grade regular Cherrington has moved to the shire with the expected responsibility to take over from retiring hooker Michael Ennis.

Cherrington showed in his time with the Tigers that he can make it in the NRL, and with his good speed and passing ability he should tear it up for the Sharkies.

Tony Williams (Wherever his heart takes him)
‘T-Rex’ has been somewhat of a let down in recent years at the Bulldogs, but I have a feeling that his decent end-of-season form can propel him into a rampaging 2017.

I may get shot down and that’s fair enough, but only time can tell us what this big man is capable of.

James Fisher-Harris (Penrith Panthers)
Not many players go from rookies to damaging starters in their first season. This was the case for Penrith young gun Fisher-Harris.

He was one of the form Penrith forwards in the run into the finals and is set to have a massive 2017.

I understand that I have missed players in this list, it is impossible for me to include everyone.

Suggest other players to look out for in the comments and keep your eyes peeled in 2017.
