So one of the most anticipated games of the Premier League season has arrived. No doubt every fan was waiting to witness the return of former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho, who is now in-charge of rivals Manchester United, come back to Stamford Bridge.

It is a little bit unusual that an away team manager is the topic of discussion before a key game in the competition. The primary reason for that discussion is that the Chelsea fans are still undecided on the reception Jose Mourinho deserves or whether he deserves any.

Some say the most successful manager of the club, who will forever have a place in their history books, should be welcomed warmly – while some cannot forget that he has accepted the job of a rival club.

Chelsea are fifth on the Premier League table right now with 16 points, while Manchester United occupy seventh position with 14 points after eight games.

A win for the Blues will open a little bit of a gap between the two rivals whereas a win for Red Devils will take them ahead of Chelsea.

Antonio Conte’s side beat the champions Leicester City last weekend comfortably and will go into this fixture with more confidence. Manchester United’s last win in the league came on 24 September against champions Leicester as well.

Chelsea have won their last two games without conceding a goal while United have drawn both of their last two games. One of them was a disappointing result at home to Stoke City and one was a good point away from home at Liverpool because the side did not intend to win that game as per the performance.

Team news
Big news is that captain John Terry is fit. Last week’s absentees Cesc Fabregas and Branislav Ivanovic are still out. Willian who lost his mother last week and Oscar who lost his grandfather are back but their involvement in the match is doubtful. We hope both of them stay strong.

The only injury doubt for Manchester United is defender Chris Smalling who was substituted at half-time in the Europa League game against Fenerbahce. Henrikh Mkhitaryan is still not expected to feature and the reasons are unknown.

The home fans will expect their team to go for a win but what gameplan Manchester United will employ may decide the game. I expect another must-not-lose game from Jose Mourinho.

The game at Stamford Bridge as United boss will really be special for him. Chelsea have lost both of their biggest games of the season arguably against Liverpool and Arsenal so this will surely be a big test for them. Let us wait and watch it unfold.
