The Kangaroos versus Kiwis game played in Coventry on Sunday morning was one of the most boring games of rugby league I have ever watched.

The number of errors by both teams was pathetic, and the game wasn’t exciting at all after Johnathan Thurston scored. The last five minutes were alright when Jordan Rapana crossed over.

Australia need to make some changes for next week’s game in London against England or that one will be boring as well.

Players who should be dropped

Justin O’Neill
Has done absolutely nothing in both Tests he has played in. Never passes the ball and makes too many silly plays.

Aaron Woods
Doesn’t run the ball hard enough. Whenever he gets tackled he just stops and lets the defenders tackle him. Not strong enough.

Sam Thaiday
Should have never even been picked in the squad – there are better players like Josh Jackson, Wade Graham, Bryce Cartwright and Gavin Cooper. He comes onto the field and acts like a clown after the game when getting interviewed. Doesn’t make a huge impact on the game, either.

Players who should be recalled

Matt Moylan
He had a magnificent debut, setting up four tries in the first half against Scotland earning him man of the match honours. He is an exciting young player and gets involved in the match. With Moylan getting recalled, that will mean Darius Boyd shifts to the wing, Blake Ferguson to the centres and O’Neill misses out.

Jake Trbojevic
Another rookie who had a great debut. Against England, he should be selected at lock with Trent Merrin getting dropped back to the bench.

Tyson Frizell
He has had a great two games in the green and gold. He is an exciting young player and must also be recalled. Against England, he should be selected in the starting second row with Matt Gillett dropping to the bench and Thaiday getting dropped from the side.

The 17 that should take on England in London is:

1. Matt Moylan
2. Valentine Holmes
3. Greg Inglis
4. Blake Ferguson
5. Darius Boyd
6. Johnathan Thurston
7. Cooper Cronk
8. Matt Scott
9. Cameron Smith (c)
10. David Klemmer
11. Boyd Cordner
12. Tyson Frizell
13. Jake Trbojevic

14. Michael Morgan
15. Shannon Boyd
16. Matt Gillett
17. Trent Merrin

With Aaron Woods, Justin O’Neill and Sam Thaiday getting axed it means Moylan goes to fullback, Boyd to the wing and Ferguson to centre.

David Klemmer moves to starting in the front row and Matt Gillett goes to the bench. Frizell moves to starting in the second row and Trbojevic moves to lock forward meaning Trent Merrin goes to the bench.

Shannon Boyd should retain his spot on the bench. Cooper Cronk returns to halfback, Morgan returns to bench utility and Maloney, unfortunately, misses out.

Of course, that’s just what I think – let me know who you’d have in your team, Roarers.
