This team consists of players who underperformed in Round 23 of the 2018 AFL season.

B: Mark Baguley (Bombers), Jack Hombsch (Power), Andrew McGrath (Bombers)
HB: Jayden Short (Tigers), Aliir Aliir (Swans), Caleb Marchbank (Blues)
C: Lachie Whitfield (Giants), Kade Simpson (Blues), Jack Sinclair (Saints)
HF: Isaac Smith (Hawks), Jack Watts (Power), Jake Stringer (Bombers)
FF: Jack Henry (Cats), Jeremy Cameron (Giants) Josh Caddy (Tigers)
Foll: Sean Darcy (Dockers), Sam Powell-Pepper (Power), David Mundy (Dockers)
Int: Matt Guelfi (Bombers), Aaron Young (Suns), Shane Edwards (Tigers), Chris Mayne (Magpies)

Backs: Mark Baguley was one of the Bombers worst players last Friday night. Jack Hombsch put in his worst display from a statistical point of view with just four possessions.

Andrew McGrath failed to have an impact on the contest for his team. A player who put in his worst display from a statistical perspective was Jayden Short with thirteen touches.

Aliir Aliir was a player who was below his best as he didn’t perform at his optimum level. A contributing factor in the Blues getting smashed was the display by Caleb Marchbank.

Midfielders: Lachie Whitfield was named in the All-Australian squad of 40, which is why he would be so disappointed with his underwhelming performance last Sunday.

Kade Simpson has been one of the most consistent players for the Blues; it’s rare for him to have under 20 possessions in 2018 which is what he dished up last Saturday night. Jack Sinclair would be disappointed with his underwhelming display in round 23.

Forwards: Isaac Smith had his equal-worst game from a disposal perspective. Jack Watts showed why the Demons traded him with a poor display. Jake Stringer failed to kick a goal and round 23 was his equal-worst output from a possession point of view.

Jack Henry was an underperformer for the Cats. A player who contributed to the Giants being outplayed and would be considered a liability for his team would be Jeremy Cameron.

Josh Caddy has been a revelation for the Tigers this season, which is why his performance in round 23 was below his capability.

Followers: Sean Darcy was well beaten by Brodie Grundy. Sam Powell-Pepper showed that he may have a tough time cementing his spot in the Power’s best 22. David Mundy put in a disappointing performance.

Interchange: Matt Guelfi played an underwhelming game. Aaron Young’s poor output was a contributing factor in the Suns getting smashed by the Cats.

Shane Edwards and Chris Mayne have been solid performers this year, but round 23 was one to forget for both of them.
