Reigning champions Warringah Rats will attempt to defend their Shute Shield title against Sydney University today at North Sydney Oval.
University have named two Wallabies in their squad in an attempt to claim the title. Hooker Tolu Latu and halfback Nick Phipps will play after the Wallabies loss to the All Blacks in the Bledisloe Cup last week. Mark Gerrard will also come off the bench for the Rats.
Warringah were a bit shaky in their 25-22 semi-final win over North Sydney, while Uni will go in as favourites after crushing Manly 41-3.
Television broadcast will start at 3pm AEST with kickoff scheduled for 3:10pm AEST. It will be available live both on free-to-air 7TWO as well as online on 7plus, with a delayed broadcast on 99.9FM SWR Sport.
